School Council

Welcome to the Bowesfield Primary School Council page.

School Councillors are an important part of ‘Pupil Voice,’ which is how we contribute to decision making within our school.

Each year, children from each class are elected by their peers to represent them at School Council meetings.

School Councillors 2024-25:

Our school councillors have been elected and are looking forward to their year in office.

Our Mission Statement

Our vision is that all pupils at Bowesfield Primary School are able to have a voice and contribute towards the continuous improvement of our school.

We will give full attention and support towards any pupils who have concerns of any kind.

We will make changes for the better.

We will listen to what you have to say.

School Council Action Plan –  Autumn 2024

This year we have looked at matters raised through pupil voice:

  • Looked at lack of lunchtime activities – there are now more skipping ropes, basketballs and footballs outside, alongside Mr Chikuza’s sports activity. Computing club now operates, with three children per class being chosen.
  • Looked at other games that can be played outside – these have been trialled by Aayat and Khadija.
  • Looked at the lunchtime rota to ensure it is fair for all year groups.
  • Looked at possible fundraising ideas.
