Our breakfast club is supported by the charity Magic Breakfast.
We are happy to offer a healthy breakfast to all our children and we welcome your children to join us for a great start to the day.
Our breakfast club starts at: 8.15 a.m.
It is held in the dining hall.
We offer: Cornflakes, Cheerios, Shreddies, Rice Krispies, toast or bagels
Cost: 30p per day
As part of the Magic Breakfast Scheme we offer every child a bagel when they come into school each morning. This is provided at 8.45 a.m. in the classroom
Magic Breakfast is working to improve the nutritional value of the food they provide to schools, especially to increase fibre and protein content, and decrease sugar content.
From mid-February we will be removing two of the lower fibre cereals – Cornflakes and Rice Krispies – and replacing them with two new, higher fibre, options:
- Nestlé Vanilla Cheerios* – this will replace Cornflakes * this product may contain traces of nut
- Kellogg’s Raisin Wheats – this will replace Rice Krispies
Fibre is an essential part of a healthy diet which supports digestive health, sustains energy levels and balances blood sugar levels, but many children do not consume the recommended amount. These new additions are nutritionally superior not only in terms of fibre, but they also provide more protein per serving. Protein keeps children fuller for longer and is essential for healthy growth and development.
Please see the ingredient and allergen information for the two new products, I would like to draw particular attention to the Nestlé Vanilla Cheerios, which may contain traces of nut.
