Oriental Museum

Year 3 visited The Oriental Museum at Durham and had a fantastic day learning about the Ancient Egyptians.

Eden Camp

Year 4 and Year 6 spent a fantastic day at Eden Camp. On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month we paid our respects to those who have given their lives so we can have better ones.

Meeting Julia Jarman

Year 2 and Year 3 visited Stockton Library where they met author Julia Jarman.

She shared The Lovely Old Lion story and, as the pictures below show, the children had a fantastic time.

Year 2 and Year 3 meet Julia Jarman

 

Edinburgh – May 20th-21st 2015

Due to a grant of £2,500 from The Ropner Trust and fundraising, through cake stalls, Name the Teddy and the raffle of a signed football kindly donated by Middlesbrough Football Club, along with other prizes, 36 year 5 and 6 pupils, along with 11 members of staff, were able to experience a fantastic 2 days in Edinburgh.

We set off from Darlington railway station. For some children it was their first time on a train.

We had a great time exploring Edinburgh.

We visited the Camera Obscura Museum……..

….. and had an evening meal together at Pizza Express.

Our second day was spent at Edinburgh Zoo.
